Genius Hour

Our class is going to be starting a weekly GENIUS HOUR ( independent inquiry). Students will pick a topic or interest that they are passionate about and then work on a project to share what they have learned. Genius Hour will be on Day 5 of the cycle. For the first project the children will be given 3 classes to complete this. If they want to do more at home, or bring items from home, they are welcome to, but at the end of the third Genius Hour they need to be finished. Topics can be almost anything. Check our some of the brainstorming we did today. Projects will be diverse to. To show their learning students can build something, design something, make something, write something, collect something etc.
Homework for now is to come up with 2 possible topics of interest and share with the teacher for approval before next Wednesday.
